Happy Monday! Today I thought I would go ahead and share three cards that I have made recently! :)
The first one is a cool ombre/watercolor-like effect I made using an embossed chevron background stamp and Tim Holtz Distress Inks. I've learned that watercolor paper is best for this technique! :) Such a fun card to make!

First, stamp the background using Versamark ink, then put your embossing powder on and heat it until it's set, then "smush" Distress Inks onto a clear block, spray water, and press on top of embossed background. Voila! :)
I love how the embossing acts as a resist to the ink! This is by far my favorite technique!

The second card is completely different! I was trying to think of how I could make a more "masculine" card. I grabbed my washi tape and got to work! I decided to use kraft paper for this card design. After laying down several thin strips of washi tape (this took forever!), I adhered it to my card base and added a "wishing you the happiest of birthdays" sentiment in tuxedo black ink from Memento. |
The third card is one of my favorites! What a great way to use up some of your scraps that are laying around. This card was SO EASY, you guys! All I did was use a kraft brown card base, attached three strips of complimentary scrap pieces, made a quick kraft brown banner, and added some baker's twine for extra effect.
Thanks for looking!
