I am BEYOND excited that my order from Simon Says Stamp came today!! I decided to subscribe to their card kits of the month because I love all of them! What a great deal! The May kit seemed extra special because it is themed towards weddings, which mine is in less than two and a half months! Woohoo! So much to do but at least I can make wedding cards for my friends that are also getting married this summer when I need to de-stress from wedding planning. :)
I couldn't decide what to work with first! Everything that I ordered is absolutely gorgeous! I took a look at my calendar and decided to make my grandma a happy birthday card since her birthday is coming up. My grandpa LOVED to garden so I thought the spring stamp set with all of the different florals would be perfect for her! :)
I really like how it turned out, and honestly I had no plan going into it! I knew I really liked the pale blush pink ink with soft green ink, but I thought that a black sentiment would be too harsh. I played around a little bit and discovered charcoal grey was the perfect fit! I randomly stamped the florals and dots from the set and added a birthday sentiment I had in my stash.
The result? A soft and pretty birthday card that I know my grandma will love! I adhered a piece of light green textured card stock to a white card base. Then to add some dimension, I put foam squares onto the stamped piece to finish the card!
But! I love stamping envelopes so I decided to get a little wild and create a matching envelope! Sometimes I like stamping the envelopes just as much as I do making the card :)
Thanks for reading and have a lovely day! :)
